    Privacy Policy

    Effective date: 26 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sean Weisbrot ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit seanweisbrot.com (the "Site"). I take your privacy seriously and only collect what is necessary to operate and improve the Site.

    1. Who I am

Data controller: Sean Weisbrot, operating at seanweisbrot.com. For any privacy-related enquiries, contact me at sean@welivetobuild.com.

    2. What data I collect

    Analytics data (PostHog)

I use PostHog, a product analytics platform, to understand how visitors use the Site. PostHog may collect:

    • Pages you visit and time spent on each page
    • Buttons and links you click (including outbound links to my other projects)
    • Your approximate geographic location (country / city level, derived from IP address)
    • Browser type, operating system, and device type
    • Referrer URL (where you came from)

PostHog stores this data on servers in the United States. Their privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.

I have configured PostHog with person_profiles: "identified_only", which means anonymous visitors are not profiled as named individuals.

    No forms, no accounts

The Site has no registration, login, or contact forms that store submissions. The contact page displays my email address for you to reach me directly. I do not collect or store any information you send me by email through this Site.

    Embedded third-party content

Some pages embed YouTube videos (via iframes). YouTube may set its own cookies and collect data subject to Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

    3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, I rely on the following legal bases:

    • Legitimate interests — understanding aggregate site usage to improve content and fix issues. I balance this against your privacy rights by collecting the minimum data necessary and not selling or sharing it.
    • Consent — where a cookie banner is displayed, I will only activate analytics tracking after you have consented. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.

    4. How I use your data

    • To understand which content is useful and where visitors come from
    • To measure the effectiveness of outbound links (e.g. to SparkVox or We Live To Build)
    • To identify and fix technical errors on the Site

I do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

    5. Data retention

PostHog retains event data according to their own retention policies (typically up to 7 years on paid plans). I do not store any personal data independently on this Site.

    6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

    • Access the personal data I hold about you
    • Request correction or deletion of your data
    • Object to or restrict processing
    • Data portability
    • Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal)

To exercise any of these rights, email me at sean@welivetobuild.com. I will respond within 30 days.

    7. Cookies

For full details of the cookies used on this Site, see the Cookie Policy.

    8. Children's privacy

This Site is not directed at children under the age of 16. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

    9. Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

    10. Contact
